The tournament: The 1st La Manga Club Cricket tournament is a 20/20 charity event, taking place over five days in November 2008. Entry fees include a contribution to The Lord’s Taverners and Lady Taverners charities, which help young people, particularly those with social, environmental, physical or learning disadvantages, to enjoy cricket and other sporting and leisure activities. The Cricket facilities at La Manga Club are excellent and include two ECB-approved Club Turf pitches as well as practice nets. The comprehensive tournament programme will enable participating clubs to enjoy winter cricket in the sun and to make the most of some of the resort’s other award-winning facilities.
