Antigua

365 Beaches – One for each day of the year!

Antigua is located in the middle of the Leeward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean and is approximately 14 miles long and 11 miles wide. The capital, St John’s, is situated to the North of the Island.

Like most other Caribbean Islands, Antigua is home to some of the most attractive beaches in the world – some even joke that there are 365 to chose from, one for each day of the year! To the Northwest, Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay are popular, to the South there is Rendezvous Bay and Doigs Beach, while in the East try Half Moon Bay and Long Bay.

Such stunning beaches mean that water sports activities are second to none in Antigua. During April, there is the Classic Yacht Regatta and the Antigua Sailing week, while snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing and windsurfing are unrivalled.

It is difficult to mention the words Antigua and the Caribbean without a reference to cricket. Antiguans adore their cricket and, with local heroes such as Sir Vivian Richards, it is easy to see why. For cricket fans, playing or watching cricket in Antigua is simply an unforgettable experience; while other sports such as netball, hockey and rugby will also provide your team with a challenging tour.

Antigua's culture and atmosphere can be witnessed during the day at the vibrant farmers markets. Folk crafts, tropical fruits and a buzzing ambience make it a morning like no other. When the sun falls, be ready for a festival reception with steel drums, calypso and reggae meaning non-stop fun from the moment you arrive to the second you leave.
