Italy

Italians are as passionate about football as they are about ice cream and pasta but it’s not all about AC Milan and Juventus these days with many other sports to enjoy including first class rugby, hockey, golf, tennis and skiing.

On a cultural level you can't go far wrong with a vast array of sight-seeing opportunities at your disposal. You can visit Roman ruins, marvel at Renaissance art, explore the canals of Venice and gaze at beautiful churches. Naturally you can also indulge in the pleasures of la dolce vita: good food, good wine and improving your wardrobe if your budget allows.

Sightseeing in Rome is exhilarating and exhausting. That it wasn't built in a day is quickly evident when you start exploring the churches, basilicas, piazzi and museums. All this and then there’s the Vatican too! More manageable is Florence, one of Italy's most atmospheric cities, a true Renaissance wonderland containing the Ponte Vecchio, Duomo and the famous Uffizi gallery.

Treviso is always a popular destination, combining excellent sporting opposition with the beauty and wonders of nearby Venice where you can take time to meander in the maze of canals that make up this unique city. The cluster of sights around the Piazza San Marco are beautiful, but simply losing yourself in the quiet backstreets can be equally entertaining.
